WAM Abu Dhabi, 19th Aug. 2012 (WAM) -- His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, offered Eid al Fitr prayer this morning at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi.

Sheikh Mohammed was joined by H.H. Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, H.H. Sheikh Surour bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan,H.H. Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler`s Representative, H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, H.H. Lt.General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Presidential Aviation Authority, H.H.

Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of Etihad Airways, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saif Al Nahyan, Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, and a number of Sheikhs, senior civilian and military officials, Arab and foreign diplomats and a large crowd of citizens and residents.

Addressing the Muslim congregation, Ali al Hashimi, Adviser of Religious and Judicial Affairs at the Ministry of Presidential Affairs, implored Muslims to adhere to piety and obedience of Allah.

He also highlighted the significance of forgiveness among brothers, kith and kin and friends.

He prayed The Almighty to have mercy on the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, protect President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and bless his efforts and guide UAE leaders to success.

After the prayer, Sheikh Mohammed, accompanied by Sheikhs and ministers visited the tomb of the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan and prayed to The Almighty to admit the departed soul in the eternal paradise.
