WAM Jenin, 17th Aug. 2012 (WAM) -- Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad has paid tribute to the UAE and its charity organisations for their consistent support for the Palestinian people.
''UAE's support reinforces the Palestinian people's resistance and meets requirements of vulnerable segments and needy families,'' Fayyad said his remarks during an iftar banquet hosted by Human Appeal International (HAI) last night at the special needy centre in Jenin.
The Palestinian premier said UAE charitable and humanitarian organisations had left clear hallmarks on the Palestinian territories.
Ibrahim Rashid, Director HAI Office in West Bank, said HAI offers support to needy Palestinians in line with the UAE's long-held humanitarian policy.
HAI'S ''Seed of Good'' Ramadan programme targets 200,000 disable Palestinians.
