WAM JERUSALEM: The UAE's Human Appeal International (HAI), a non-governmental aid agency, has carried out a project to give out Zakat money and Eid clothes to the poor Palestinian families in cooperation with Palestinian charities.

Director of the HAI's office in the West Bank Ibrahim Al Rashid said the cash money Zakat money handouts are the best useful for the needy in this holy month (Ramadan).

HAI's AED8 million-zakat project also helps orphanages and social aid agencies, he noted.

The charity sponsored 40 children who were whose fathers or mothers were killed in the West Bank city of Jenin in a traffic accident three days ago.
