WAM ABU DHABI: President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has cabled condolences to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad over the victims of the earthquake which struck north-west Iran on Saturday.

In the cable, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa expressed heartfelt sympathy and condolences to President Ahmadinejad and to the families of the victims.

Sheikh Khalifa prayed to Allah to bestow mercy on the victims, patience on their families and speedy recovery on the injured.
