WAM London, 11th Aug. 2012 (WAM) -- H. H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has lauded President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for their unremitting support to the UAE Armed Forces.

Sheikh Saud commended His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, for his close attention and follow up of UAE students studying abroad and offering them opportunities in universities and military academies to gain science and knowledge so as to serve their nation.

Sheikh Saud made the remarks to celebrate graduation of his son Sheikh Ahmed within the 113rd batch at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, UK.

The Ruler said the military profession is one of the most honourable job to serve our State and sending our cadres to study abroad will push relations of cooperation and friendship between the UAE and UK to new heights.

Along with the Ruler, the ceremony was attended by a number of Sheikhs, VIPs and UAE Embassy Staff in UK.

General Sir Richard Shireff, the chief guest, and Academy Commandant reviewed parade of graduates and presented trophies to top achievers.
