Mohammed bin Zayed meets Emir of Qatar

Doha, 8 Aug. 2012 (WAM) - Gen. H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces was received here today by the Emir of Qatar His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

They discussed ways to further strengthen fraternal relations and cooperation between the two countries in all domains. The meeting also touched on regional developments and issues of mutual interest.

Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied by H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, Ahmed Juma Al Zaabi, Deputy Minister of Presidential Affairs, Sultan bin Nasser Al Suwaidi, Governor of the UAE Central Bank, Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court and a number of officials.

Sheikh Mohammed conveyed to the Emir of Qatar greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The Emir of Qatar asked Sheikh Mohammed to pass on his greetings to Sheikh Khalifa and his best wishes to him.

Present from the Qatari side were H.H. Sheikh Jassem bin Hamad Al Thani, Personal Representative of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabr Al Thani, Qatari Prime Minister '&' Foreign Minister and a number of ministers.

Sheikh Hamad hosted an Iftar in honour of Sheikh Mohammed and his accompanying delegation.
