MBRCHF distributes AED8m of zakat money to beneficiaries

WAM DUBAI: A total of AED 8 million of Zakat money offered by the Dubai Islamic Humanitarian Foundation, a non-profit subsidiary of Dubai Islamic Bank, was delivered to 2667 needy families in Dubai and the northern regions during this month of Ramadan by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Charity and Humanitarian Establishment.
A full plan was drawn up by the Establishment to identify the eligible families to the financial aid, according to Vice-chairman of the board of trustees of the foundation Ibrahim Bumelha.
CEO of the Dubai Islamic Humanitarian Foundation Abdul Razzaq Abdullah stressed that the bank's charity is interested in extending a helping hand to people with limited income in partnership with the Establishment, based on its corporate social responsibility commitments.
