WAM Dubai, Aug 5th, 2012 (WAM) -- As part of its strategy to support the role of women in society on all levels, the Women's Committee at the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has recently organised several member workshops over personal care and beauty during the summer season alongside other social activities.
"The Women's Committee at DEWA is always committed to continuously engage its members with non-work related activities," said Khawla Al Mehairi, Chairperson of the Women's Committee at DEWA. "We usually focus on training sessions designed to enhance members' engagement and achieve the perfect balance between personal and professional development. These activities have offered our participants the opportunity to meet and benefit from industry professionals in personal care and beauty," she added.
"The Women's Committee at DEWA offered the latest workshops in crochet, home remodeling, and personal care and beauty during the summer heat as part of the Committee's activities focusing on family education and working women awareness, we rolled out these workshops to highlight the importance of our working ladies being able to balance between their responsibilities at the office and at home, the workshops provided common platforms for our members to share experiences in an interactive beneficial setting," said Fatima Deemas, Vice Chairman of the Women's Committee at DEWA. "The professional experts shared tips on how to keep skin healthy while enjoying summertime fun, protect it from harmful rays by limiting time spent in the sun, especially during midday hours, and take vitamins and minerals for some extra protection," she added.
The workshops are part of the Committee's ongoing efforts to strengthen social networking amongst DEWA's staff in a multi-cultural environment.
