KZHF implements Iftar meal project in Comoros IslandsAug 3, 2012 - 11:46 - WAM Abu Dhabi, Aug 03th, 2012 (WAM) - The Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Humanitarian Foundation is currently implementing an Iftar meal project for the impoverished in the Federal Islamic Republic of the Comoros.
As part of the project, hot meals are served at various public institutions and mosques across all islands in the Comoros. On another level, baskets containing dry food are also distributed among the poor segments through a network of volunteers.
UAE Ambassador to Yemen and the non-resident ambassador to Comoros Islands Abdullah Matar Al Mazroui praised various philanthropic organisations in the UAE for participating in this humanitarian effort.
Meanwhile, the local community expressed their gratitude to the UAE government for this benevolent gesture in the Holy month of Ramadan.
