2012-08-02 21:13:52
WAM Rabat, Aug 02nd, 2012 (WAM)--The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (ISESCO) reiterated, in a communiqu? released today, its strong condemnation of the repeated violations committed by the Israeli occupation authorities and Jewish settlers against the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque, in blatant defiance of international law.

ISESCO also confirmed its total rejection of the claims of the legal adviser to the Israeli government that Al-Aqsa Mosque is just a public place and part of the Municipality of Al-Quds.

By the same token, ISESCO pointed out that the city of Al-Quds is an occupied city according to the international law, stressing that that it is the property of the Palestinian people and the Muslim Ummah as it is home to the third holy shrine and the place of the nocturnal journey of Prophet Muhammed, peace and prayers be upon him.

ISESCO called on the Member States to immediately and strongly condemn such violations by Israel of Al-Aqsa Mosque's sanctity and the Palestinian people's legitimate rights, urging them to press for a UN intervention to ensure the enforcement of the international legality instruments concerning Al-Quds and the occupied Palestinian territories.

On the same occasion, ISESCO warned against Israel's belligerent polices and their threat to peace and security.
