WAM Abu Dhabi, July 31st, 2012 (WAM) -- Fuad Al Siniora, Former Prime Minister of Lebanon and Chairman of the Future Movement in the Lebanese National Assembly yesterday toured the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque here in Abu Dhabi on the sidelines of his visit to the country.
Al Siniora and accompanying delegation visited the tomb of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan next to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and toured the mosque, where he listened explanation about the mosque and its establishment in 1996 with an initiative from the Late Sheikh Zayed and the components of this great religious edifice and diverse architectural styles that have been used in its construction.
Siniora and his entourage were acquainted with the designs of the mosque, the Islamic decoration painted and carved on the walls as well as the historical era they represent.
He expressed his admiration for the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and the aesthetics of Islamic architecture, which is clearly reflected on the walls and columns.
