WAM Umm al-Qaiwain, July 18th, 2012 (WAM) -- Sheikh Majid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla today visited the headquarters of the Poor Family Committee here and inspected the Ramadan Ration Project which is affiliated with Dar Al Ber Society in Umm al Qaiwain.

Ramadan Ration Project has a total cost of one million Dirhams and it is funded by the charitable foundations and businessmen in the country.

Ali Hassan Al Asi, Head of the Poor Families Committee, in Umm Al Quwain said that about 1,800 families have been benefitted from the project so far and it will continue through next Sunday pointing that the distribution of food among the eligible citizens and residents started last Monday.
