WAM Dubai, July 2nd, 2012 (WAM) -- Dubai Municipality's Information Technology Department has won Network Middle East magazine's INNOVATION AWARDS 2012 in the category of best technical project in the field of information security systems for the year 2012.

For Dubai Municipality, Khalid Al Awadi, head of technical infrastructure at the department received the award.

"We are proud and very happy to receive this prestigious award, which adds a new feather to the crown of achievements gained by Dubai Municipality in various fields" he said after receiving the award.

"Our team has carried out great efforts in planning and applying system to protect Municipality services from security breaches in cooperation with our strategic partners in this area in order to fulfill our vision to become forerunners in high end e-services and raise the level of customer satisfaction" he added further.

The award distribution ceremony was held At Jumeira Zabeel Saray Hotel, Dubai. Experts, specialists and officials from major government institutions and companies that produce networking solutions from all over Middle East participated in the event.
