Stronger UAE-Libyan relations discussed

WAM TRIPOLI: Ways to promote economic and investment relations between the UAE and Libya were discussed by ambassador of the UAE Saeed Obaid Al-Kaabi and Libyan Minister of Economy Ahmed Salim Al-Koushly.
The meeting discussed economic, trade and investment agreements already signed by the two countries or still being considered.
Al-Kaabi stressed the keen interest of the UAE's leadership in advancing fraternal relations with Libya to the highest levels in all spheres and in trade and investment in particular.
In statements to WAM, the Libyan minister hailed the growth achieved by the UAE under the wide leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He also reiterated the Libyan government's interest in enhancing relations with the UAE.
Al-Koushly also said that benefiting from the UAE's economic experience will enable Libya to strengthen its economy.
"We will send technical teams on a visit to the UAE to tap their experience on consumer protection," he added.
