WAM Abu Dhabi, Jun 28th, 2012 (WAM)--H. H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior attended today the second mass wedding in Al Madam district in Sharjah in which 74 Emiratis took part.

The event was held under the patronage of His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

Sheikh Saif said in a statement that the mass weddings are part and parcel of the national traditions that inculcate the inherent norms in the community.

He referred to the support of the UAE leadership to ease burden on youth planning to get married and establish coherent families. Sheikh Saif also thanked the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's sponsorship of the mass weddings, following the course chalked out by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

Sheikh Saif greeted the bridegrooms, wishing them happy marital lives and building stable families that become nuclear of the UAE community. For their part, the bridegrooms thanked Sheikh Saif for gracing the mass wedding event in Al Madam.
