National Bonds expands its Financial education seminars through Social Media
2012-06-25 11:35:48
WAM Dubai, June 25th, 2012 (WAM) -- National Bonds is taking its message of savings online with plans to stream financial education seminars live on the web.

The region's leading Shariah compliant savings scheme has revealed that it will supplement its existing seminars with live feeds that can be viewed across the world on the National Bonds Facebook page.

The savings scheme also announced plans to launch a dedicated YouTube Channel where visitors can watch recordings of previous seminars, and a Twitter page to offer them regular links to the latest in savings and financial education. The efforts form part of National Bonds' strategy to drive home its message to a wider spectrum of audiences using the most popular interactive social media tools.

Mohammed Qasim Al Ali, CEO of National Bonds Corporation PJSC said "We were the first company in the UAE to speak up about the dangers of irresponsible spending, the first to provide robust data to showcase the need for change and the first to take an active role in educating the public on the benefits of savings. Now we are once again pioneering by becoming the first company to take that message to unlimited numbers of audiences through the power of social media." "It was clear from the results of the National Bonds Savings Index that many people understand the need to save, but lack the understanding of the tools and mechanisms to do it, so we have begun a financial education roadshow with seminars across the UAE to provide that training. While we can reach a certain number of people through face to face interaction, the web allows potentially hundreds of thousands of others along with their loved ones to benefit from this training from the comfort of their homes, giving our message a whole new audience," he added.
