WAM Sharjah, June 24th, 2012 (WAM) -- As part of the center's efforts to enhance safety procedures and quality assurance, Sharjah Blood Transfusion and Research Center organized a training course on using fire extinguishers in emergency cases. The center gives great priority to raise the awareness of its employees on civil protection techniques in our daily lives.

The center also makes great efforts in disseminating knowledge among the employees of the center. About 50 employees were trained in cooperation with the civil defence in Sharjah.

The training course included theoretical and practical lectures about the causes of fire, how to deal with different kinds of fire, selecting the best fire extinguishers and used substances, maintenance of fire extinguishers at home, work or car.

Sharjah Research and Training Center also lauded the cooperation of Civil Defence Department in increasing the awareness of the community with the importance of learning how to use fire extinguishers. The center also expressed its gratitude and appreciation to the administration of the civil defence department.
