WAM Ras al-Khaimah, Jun 15th, 2012 (WAM)--H. H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras al-Khaimi has said that the UAE attached importance to the Palm Tree, being one of the pillars of economic development in the UAE.

Sheikh Mohammed made the remarks, while inaugurating the Palm Exhibition, organised by the Ras Al Khaimah Pearls Museum in cooperation with the Ibn Majid for Folklore and Rowing Society, at Museum at Al Quasim Corniche.

Present were Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Sheikh Saqr bin Majid bin Nasser Al Qasimi, Sheikh Faisal bin Majid bin Nasser Al Qasimi and a number of officials.

The RAK Crown Prince toured the pavilions of the exhibition, which features 45 types of palm derivatives used by the families in the past.
