Sharjah Islamic Bank signs cooperation agreement with University Dental Hospital Sharjah

WAM Sharjah, June 12th, 2012 (WAM) -- Sharjah Islamic Bank (SIB) has signed a cooperation agreement with the University Dental Hospital Sharjah (UDHS) to offer financing packages to patients, making it possible to pay treatment fees to the UDHS in convenient installments.
The signing ceremony was attended by Mohammed Abdullah, CEO of Sharjah Islamic Bank and Dr Sami Mahmoud, Chancellor of the University of Sharjah, who signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations in presence of a number of senior officials from both sides.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohammed Abdullah, CEO of Sharjah Islamic Bank, said, "It is the second agreement of its kind in a week with a leading educational and healthcare provider, following the recent agreement with the University Hospital Sharjah. Signing this agreement with the University Dental Hospital Sharjah acts in support of educational and healthcare efforts, alike, and is in line with the vision of HH Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, who pays special interest to both sectors. " " The bank's board headed by HH Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah stresses the importance of such initiatives," he added.
Abdullah clarified, "As per the agreement, financing for treatment services at the University Dental Hospital will be available at a competitive rate to all UAE nationals and residents who are working in government and semi-government sectors or in companies approved by the bank. Clients who need to get finance from the bank are required to present a quotation letter from the hospital to the bank, indicating the details of treatment fees in need of financing." Dr Sami Mahmoud, Chancellor of University of Sharjah, said: "The agreement signed with the SIB will cover our high quality services such as teeth cleaning, teeth whitening, treatment of dental anomalies, restorative treatment, dental implant and dental surgeries. The University Dental Hospital Sharjah is another testimony of the attention of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah to the education sector in the country, in general, and in Sharjah, in particular, and a clear evidence of His Highness' eagerness to further develop the healthcare services to reach the highest international standards." He revealed that a series of rewarding agreements are set to be signed between the two parties soon.
