National's Children Committee meets 32 individuals in IndiaJun 11, 2012 - 02:50 - WAM New Delhi, June 11th, 2012 (WAM) -- The committee assigned to identify UAE nationals born abroad has conducted interviews of 32 children whose parents are Emirati and were born outside the country from Indian mothers. The committee is led by Assistant Undersecretary for Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs Major General Nasser Al Awadi Al Menhali.
The move comes in implementation of the directives by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and is being followed up by H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.
Al Menhali stated that the committee has completed its work of studying cases to review applications from nationals' children in India.
He also hailed efforts of UAE Embassy in India for facilitating committee's tasks by providing required data and information and giving the opportunity to meet these children.
