WAM Western Region, 6th June 2012 (WAM) -- H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region, congratulated today the Western Region Development Council (WRDC) team who won the first place in the 3rd Abu Dhabi Shooting Competition which was held from 27 May - 3 June 2012 under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor, and Deputy Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Sports Council.

At a meeting with the winners, Sheikh Hamdan praised them for the achievements they made over the eight-day tournament.

, The competition aimed at reviving the ancient tradition and art of shooting, and promoting shooting as a prestigious sport.
