DSCE discusses energy efficiency initiatives

DUBAI: The successful ongoing implementation of energy efficiency initiatives in Dubai, including public-awareness campaigns encouraging the responsible use of electricity and water and to reduce waste, was discussed at a meeting by the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy at its 17th board meeting.
The meeting was chaired by Vice Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy (DSCE) Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer at the headquarters of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA).
The meeting also discussed the progress of workshops held with local government departments to discuss energy efficiency and conservation and other initiatives driven by the implementation of the Dubai Integrated Energy Strategy, which is targeting a 30% reduction in energy demand in Dubai by 2030.
