WAM Dubai, June 6th, 2012 (WAM) -- Ahmed Abdullah Al-Sheikh, Director General of the Dubai Government Media Office received today the U.S. Consul General in Dubai Justin Siberell.

The meeting discussed the latest developments on the Arab and the global media scene.

Al- Sheikh stressed that media in the UAE is keen to provide a diverse message taking into account the aspirations of the recipients of various cultures, which would contribute in enhancing the principles of coexistence and fruitful cooperation among different civilizations.

Sheikh Ahmed wished the American Consul success in his future assignments at the end of his tenure in the State.

For his part, the U.S. Consul hailed the positive role played by the media institutions in achieving the cultural and intellectual convergence between the Arab region and the West.
