Abu Dhabi Chamber and Ministry of Finance organise introductory forum on GCC economic work

WAM Abu Dhabi, June 6th, 2012 (WAM) -- Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) and Ministry of Finance organized an introductory forum on ''GCC Economic joint Work'' at former's headquarter.

The move comes in lines with their efforts to boost awareness of the importance of GCC economic work and the distinguish status of the markets in the bloc.

Mohammed Hilal Al Muhairi, Director General of the ADCCI affirmed in a statement presented on his behalf by Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Executive Director of the Business and Communication Sector of the ADCCI that UAE with its unique and successful experience can play a strategic role in the Common GCC Market due to its economic reputation that has enabled the emirate to be a regional hub for large number of regional and international economic companies.

For his part, Younis Haji Al Khouri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance (MoF) in a statement presented on his behalf by Ahmed Mahmoud AlHammadi, Assistant Under Secretary. Ministry of Finance said that since the establishment of GCC, the states agreed on a number of steps which are aimed at achieving economic integration with step by step approach.

He added UAE was keen to expand and boost the GCC common market and MoF had been assigned to follow up all issues in the regard.
