WAM ABU DHABI: The Support extended to Palestinians by the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Humanitarian Foundation to drive sustainable development and education in Gaza Strip on Tuesday was discussed at a meeting by H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Board of the Foundation and Filippo Grandi, the Commissioner General of the U.N. Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA).

Barriers to international agency's operations in Gaza Strip were also discussed at the meeting at the Presidential Palace.

In remarks at the meeting, Sheikh Mansour commended UNRWA's role in the occupied Palestinian Territory.

For his part, the UN official hailed the support extended by the UAE to UNRWA to help counter the impact of Israeli occupation on the lives of Palestinians.
