UAE is following progress of national investment in Egypt : Mansouri

WAM Dubai, 30th May 2012 (WAM) -- Despite the current circumstance, Egypt has tremendous attractive investment opportunities, according to UAE Minister of Economy Sultan Al Mansouri.

Al Mansouri said during a meeting today with the Chairman of the National Bank in Dubai, Tarek Omar, that his ministry is always keen to follow progress of national investment in Egypt to ensure their sustainability and growth so as to raise their revenue and protect them against various challenges the Egyptian economy is currently facing.

Through its packages of facilities and services to investors, he said, the Bank is playing a critical role in supporting these investment.

For his part, Chairman of the National Bank Tarek Omar said the Bank is ready to assist Emirati investors who have mega investment in Egypt tackle financial challenges they are facing and remove obstacles hindering progress of their projects.

The UAE has more than 550 investors in Egypt and the Ministry of Economy is coordinating with Egyptian government to work out effective plans and mechanisms to facilitate their projects and attract more Emirati capital to Egypt's economy.
