Abu Dhabi, 29 May 2012 (WAM) - The Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR) has organised a blood donation drive in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Blood Bank - Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) and with the participation of FANR staff.

The FANR Director General Dr William D. Travers was among the first blood donors who expressed their delight at taking part in this humanitarian drive.

Commenting on the event Dr Travers said, "We are committed to the blood donation drive and it is certainly in line with our view of good corporate social responsibility." He also said, "FANR participates in the spirit of giving to the community. Our organisation endeavours to support this blood donation drive to raise public awareness of its importance".
