Sharjah, 29 May 2012 (WAM) - An ordinary meeting of the Sharjah Executive Council was held here today under the chairmanship of H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.

The Council members began their meeting with a vote of thanks to His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah for ordering implementation of the health insurance policy for the employees of government organisations in Sharjah.

A presentation was made by Abdullah Ali Al Mahayan, Chairman of Sharjah Health Authority on the steps being taken to impelment the health insurance system, including a benchmarking for best practices, providers and costs.

The members also discussed other topics on the meeting agenda and took appropriate decisions on them.
