WAM Abu Dhabi, May 29th, 2012 (WAM) -- The Forum on 'Integrating the Efforts of Social Research Institutions to Support the Decision Making Process in the United Arab Emirates begun today here at the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies '&' Research (ECSSR).

The two-day forum is being held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.

The objectives of the forum are to promote the concept of integrating the social research efforts in the UAE, to shed light on existing efforts to build research databases in the country, as well as to determine the best mechanisms to benefit from research findings to support decision-makers. The forum also seeks to reach a wide agreement on the social research agenda.
