WAM Abu Dhabi, May 27th, 2012 (WAM) -- The unification of various emirates to form the UAE federation stands out as a pioneering model of successful experiments in the area of unity, said a prominent political scientist.

Delivering a lecture at the Zayed University, Assistant Professor of Political Sciences at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the UAE University Dr. Maryam Sultan Lootah, said that the Union also is a paramount achievement in the field of development.

She added that "the cooperative relationship between the ruler and the ruled" provided the guarantee for real security and stability in the country, which are the two basic prerequisites for development in any country in the world.

She urged the citizens and the young generation to participate in the preservation of the many achievements of the country in various fields.
