Dubai Business Women Council discusses sustainable business practices during Network Majlis session

WAM Dubai, 26th May 2012 (WAM) -- Dubai Business Women Council (DBWC) recently hosted a new session of the Network Majlis that discussed the importance of sustainability in business. The Network Majlis session was held at Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) with Deanna Othman, General Manager, Priority and International Banking Middle East, and Chair Diversity '&' Inclusion, UAE, Standard Chartered Bank, as guest speaker.
The discussions tackled various issues related to sustainability, including the emergence of low carbon economies that are becoming a major change driver across national economies and industry sectors. The speaker likewise provided practical examples of how sustainability has delivered long-term shareholder value and contributed to socioeconomic growth, citing Standard Chartered's experience in cultivating a sustainable business model.
