WAM Abu Dhabi, May 23th, 2012 (WAM)--The Abu Dhabi Public Prosecution has referred two Emirati brothers to the Criminal Court on charges of premeditated murder and vandalism, following a traffic outrage that has caused murder on one of the Abu Dhabi city roads.

The incident began when the two defendants identified respectively as H. S. 25 and M. S. 24 years, pursued the Emirati victim identified as M. A. 52, because of not giving way on the road to them. The forensic medicine report said the victim sustained many serious bone fractures in different parts of his body, as well as serious bleeding in skull that led to his death.

Investigations by the Public Prosecution concluded that the traffic outrage resulted when the victim did not give way to the defendants, leading them to pursue him and collide with his car many times before taking over and blocking his way. They forced him to leave his car and the fight started despite his old age.

When the police reached the place, the victim was still alive but in a very bad condition due to his injuries. He managed to tell the police that the two defendants followed him, collided with his car many times, and forced him to stop and leave the car. He also said both of them beat him with a wooden stick. The victim was taken to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

An official from the office of the Attorney General of Abu Dhabi said that after investigation and hearing the witnesses and police, it was evident for the prosecutors that the two defendants had attacked the victim and damaged his car intentionally.

The official confirmed that the defendants took over the victim's car and blocked his way to force him to stop on the hard shoulder. When the victim left his car, they followed and beat him with a solid object causing injuries that led to his death. "The defendants did not respect his old age as if their only intention was to teach him who was the stronger", he said.

The official said no one is allowed to take law by his hand as the legal authorities assume the role of law enforcing, dispute settlement and punishment of violator.
