DED's opens new branch of commercial licenses sector in Musaffah

WAM Abu Dhabi, May 20th, 2012 (WAM) -- Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi (DED), opened a new branch of Commercial Affairs Sector in Mussafah in order to provide comprehensive services for all business licensing procedures to serve clients in the Mussafah and its environs.
The new branch is located between the buildings of National Health Insurance Company (DAMAN) and Emirates Identity Authority.
Mohamed Munif Al Mansouri, Acting Executive Director of Commercial Affairs Sector said: " There are about 9 services counters fully operational to provide all kinds of services concerning commercial licensing transactions and incorporated the issuing of trade names, new licenses, amending and canceling old ones, issuing permissions, replacements, besides newspaper advertising and inspection procedures carried out by the team work which consists of 19 employees, this branch is expected to contribute to reduce work pressure on the main branch and other branches in Abu Dhabi significantly." Al Mansouri clarified that the location of the new branch is suitable for all clients living in Mussafah and its suburbs, which witnessed an increase of customers expecting that proportion of the commercial transactions activities in Mussafah will be doubled with starting of operation new branch, on Tuesday which amounts to 200% during the first period of operation and can be increased to 300% in the next months.
He stated that old Mussafah branch will continue to work for a period ranging from one week to two weeks in order to inform customers with the new location of new branch, while a number of customer service staff will directing all clients and check on their requirements and make sure to complete all required documents to be submitted on as CD files or Flash memory as part of the implementation the electronic archiving system for licensing commercial transactions that has been applied recently.
It should be noted that the old Mussafah branch completed during the first quarter of this year, 2472 transactions varied between the issuing of trade names, new licenses, amending and canceling old ones, issuing permissions, replacements, initial approvals, levying different fines on offenders besides newspaper advertising and others.
The old Mussafah branch issued during the first quarter of this year 148 new licenses and renewed 1123 and levied 119 fines and issuing 282 trade name transactions.
