Hamdan bin Zayed visits Delma Island

WAM Delma, May 17th, 2012 (WAM) -- H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region made an inspection visit to Delma Island in the framework of his keenness to follow up the citizens' conditions and the services provided in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
During the visit, he met with the people of Delma Island and was briefed on the pace of the workflow in various service sectors.
Sheikh Hamdan conveyed the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of the Executive Council to the citizens.
For their part, Delma people expressed their happiness with the meeting of Sheikh Hamdan and his keenness to continuously communicate with the people of the western region.
Sheikh Hamdan also met members of the Delma's Fishermen Assembly, and discussed with them issues relating to fishing trade. On the occasion he said that UAE leadership gives top priority in solving issues faced by the citizens besides taking care of their needs.
For their part, members of the assembly hailed the follow up of Sheikh Hamdan in knowing the needs of the fishermen and giving them the opportunity to talk on these issues.
During the visit Sheikh Hamdan was accompanied by a number of senior officials.
