WAM Dubai, 13th May 2012 (WAM): The Domus Group, a leading international exhibition specialist, announced today the dates of the awaited 5th edition of the International Helicopter Technology '&' Operations Exhibition, known as Dubai Helishow 2012- the Middle East's one and only elite trade exhibition for all key players in the helicopter industry. The show will be held under the Patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on the 6th to 8th November 2012 at its new venue, the Grand Stand, Meydan Hotel, Meydan Racecourse, Dubai.
The Helishow is the industry's third largest exhibition in the world after Heli Expo-USA, and Helitech-UK.
With the presence of key helicopter industry manufacturers and suppliers from the region and worldwide, the International Helicopter Technology and Operations Exhibition will highlight the achievements and advancement of helicopter technologies and services. This year's show will address the specific requirements in the Middle East region.
More than 85 exhibitors have confirmed their participation to date. Exhibitors will display latest product offerings and developed technological solutions for use within the Commercial, Military, Air Medical '&' Rescue and Civil Defense sectors.
The show will host two ground breaking conferences to be organized by Tangent Link, an Aerospace, Defense and Securities international conference organizer. The conferences will focus on different inland and offshore emergencies and security issues pertinent to the Middle East.
Day one conference titled "High-Rise Firefighting '&' Rescue" will look at the international emergency services first responders, civil and government helicopter operators, helicopter and firefighting equipment manufacturers in the event of fires in High-Rise and Mega-Buildings. It will also discuss the solutions, tactics, technologies and the systems explored along with introducing new ideas to help meet the increasing requirements of specialist fire protection and rescue field. Day two conference titled "Heli-borne Intelligence, Surveillance '&' Reconnaissance (ISR)" will discuss how effectively manned and unmanned air assets are operated in the airborne ISR solutions role.

Dubai Helishow 2010 was of a huge interest to senior level buyers, VIP's and VVIPS visitors worldwide as exhibitors showcased the latest products, technological solutions and services in the industry. Key exhibitors were Hawker Pacific Airservices, Sikorsky Aircraft, L-3 Wescam, Russian Helicopters, Abu Dhabi Aviation and Emirates CAE Flight Training. The show has also embraced the signing of a multimillion dollar deal between the UAE Airforce and Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation where UAE Air forces took a delivery of 60 "Blackhawk Utility Helicopters".
Dubai Helishow 2010 hosted several discussion groups and presentations. A discussion panel led by MedEvac Foundation International tackled the advancement of medical transport and the role of air rescue helicopters in saving people's lives. Abu Dhabi Aviation led another session which looked at the advancements in Emergency Medical Services utilizing air ambulances within the region and the deployment of their simulation centre in Saudi Arabia.
