YEOSU, SOUTH KOREA: A total of 35,660 people visited on the first day of 2012 Yeosu Expo which officially opened on May 12, organizers of the event said on Sunday.

The number of visitors to the Yeosu Expo 2012 is expected to pick up steam as more national pavilions of 104 participating countries are stepping up promos with a wide variety of programs. UAE National Pavilion remains on top five national pavilions along with Korea Pavilion, according to initial local news media reports.
