WAM ABU DHABI, May 10th , 2012 (WAM)--UAE Foreign Minister H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan last night received a telephone call from his German counterpart, Guido Westerwelle, in which the German Minister emphasised the strength of the bilateral relations between the two countries and the desire of the German Government to work to foster them in all fields.

Westerwelle also told Sheikh Abdullah that he will not accept anything that might impinge negatively on the friendly ties between the two states.

The German Foreign Minister also expressed his regret over the misunderstandings caused by the contents of the recent statement made by the Chairman of the German airline, Lufthansa.
