Mohammed Bin Rashid meets Arab writers, media persons

WAM Dubai, May 08th, 2012 (WAM) -- UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum met with a galaxy of Arab writers and media persons in Dubai today.
The meeting took place on the fringes of the 11th annual Arab Media Forum which got underway today at the Grand Hyaat Hotel.
The Arab Media Forum (AMF) 2012, organised by the Dubai Press Club, is themed on 'Arab Media: Exposure and Transition' and will discuss important media issues in the region.
Sheikh Mohammed, flanked by HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and HH Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture, held a dialogue with the media persons about a number of pressing Arab issues and the hopes cherished by the Arab nationals, especially in the changing Arab landscape.
The dialogue focused on economical, social and educational development across the Arab world, which is rich in material resources, natural wealth and human intelligence. At the same time it lacks vision, determination and management of the changes in building economic, educational and social development; it was noted in the dialogue.
During the dialogue, the media persons cited a number of sayings of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum on the comprehensive change in many Arab states, noting that they are in dire need for changes in economic, educational and social spheres. This is because the young generation want such changes that will provide them with better opportunities for education, innovation and employment under a balanced social justice system; it was noted.
Sheikh Mohammed repeated his saying that crises are the opportunities which release the creative energies of the youth and the individuals in the society. He also assured them that the economies of the UAE and the Gulf countries are doing well and rising again shedding of the dust of the global financial crisis.
