WAM Sharjah, May 06th, 2012 (WAM)--H. H. Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council member and ruler of Sharjah left today afternoon for Riyadh in a short visit to attend the honorary ceremony of the Prince Salman bin Abdelaziz Prize for the Arabian Peninsula Historical Studies and Research for 2012.

The Ruler of Sharjah won the award granted to distinguished non Saudis in recognition to their contribution to the Arabian Peninsula Historical Studies and Research for 2012.

Organised by the King Abdul Aziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah), the event will be held today in Riyadh to honour 18 winners of different categories of the award in Saudi Arabia and abroad.
