ADJD and Women Union forge new strategic partnership

Abu Dhabi, 5 May 2012 (WAM) - Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) and the UAE General Women's Union has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) establishing a new strategic partnership to better serve the community.
The two parties will use the new strategic partnership to improve their cooperation with respect community services with special focus on services provided to clients of Parents Child Visitation Office operated by the General Women's Union.
The new MoU is perfectly in line with ADJD's strategic objective of facilitating access to justice for all those who need it. This will greatly benefit from the important role played by the UAE General Women's Union under the patronage of its Chairperson, H.H. Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, in promoting human, cultural and community development with special focus on issues related to family security in the UAE.
Under the new MoU, the Union will provide services of its Parents Child Visitation Office within a clear legal framework to be developed by ADJD. This will enhance the ability of the Office to achieve its objective of contributing to protection the UAE national family from disintegration and break-up through a wide range of social programs and activities.
To implement their newly established partnership, the two parties agreed to create a bilateral supervising committee that will develop policies and procedures for the operation of the Office. Starting new branches for the Office in Al Gharbiya and Al Sharqiya regions of Abu Dhabi is also will be considered once necessary.
