Sheikha Fatima reviews policies of Family Development Foundation, its strategic performance

WAM Abu Dhabi, May 02nd, 2012 (WAM)--H. H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for the Motherhood and Childhood has evaluated the institutional performance and strategic plans of the Family Development Foundation for year 2011.
The review took place during the meeting held on Tuesday at the Foundation in Al Mushrif district. The meeting comes in line with a series of special meetings of Sheikha Fatima on reviewing the performance.
Sheikha Fatima was received at the arrival by Mariam Mohammed Al Rumaithi, Director General of the Foundation, Dr Hagir Al Hosani, Mouza Al Otaiba members of the Board, Naema Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Director of the Department of Family Development at the Foundation, Hamda Al Hagiri, Director of the Department of Community Service, Nora Al Suwaidi, Director General of the General Women's Union and other senior officials.
In her inaugural speech, Al Rumaithi congratulated Sheikha Fatima on receiving the Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Distinguished Academic Performance for year 2012 and on launching the Sheikha Fatima Awards on Woman Sports and Sheikha Fatima Award for International Arab Youth.
She added that the methodology of Foundation regarding the implementation of the strategic initiatives, is through assessment of the needs of community in all areas, taking into account the objectives of Abu Dhabi government, surveys and data about the communal issues so as to set priorities.
The Foundation staff presented a memento shield to Sheikha Fatima on marking the World Mother Day in recognition to her pioneer role in supporting women and family programmes.
Sheikha Fatima hailed the efforts of the Foundation and its Board, wishing them more successes and progress.
