WAM Abu Dhabi, May 1st, 2012 (WAM) -- Dr. Saeed Mohammed Al Shamsi, Assistant Secretary of State for International Organization Affairs has received at his office in the Ministry, Finland's Foreign Ministry Special Envoy Pasi Patokallio.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and exchanged views on a number of current regional and international issues.

The meeting also discussed ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two sides concerning the nomination of the two countries, especially in the United Nations and its various agencies.

Dr. Al Shamsi asserted that state is extending friendship and cooperation ties with various countries of the world out of its belief in the principles of international cooperation thanks to UAE's wise leadership. He also hailed the distinguished relations between the UAE and the Scandinavian countries.

The meeting was attended by Khalifa Shaheen Al-Marar, Director of International Cooperation and Organizations at the Foreign Ministry and Ilkka- Pekka Simila, Ambassador of Republic of Finland to the State.
