European Parliament team starts UAE visit tomorrowApr 28, 2012 - 08:17 - WAM Abu Dhabi, 28th April 2012 (WAM) -- An elite group of European Parliament MPs led by Dr. Angelika Niebler, member of the Delegation for relations with the Gulf States, will embark Sunday on a five-day visit to the UAE.
Sulieman Hamed Salim Al Mazrouie, UAE Ambassador to Belgium, who will escort the visiting European Parliament delegation of senior MPs, said the trip falls within the political action programme of the UAE diplomatic mission to the EU and has special significance to the enhancement of governmental and parliamentary relations between the two sides.
While here, the EU team will conduct a series of meetings with top government officials and will visit a number of government ministries as well as educational and other landmark facilities including the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) headquarters.
As one of the largest parliamentary chambers in the world, the European Parliament has 752 members representing 27 European states.
