Abu Dhabi, 28 April 2012 (WAM) - H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler's Representative in the Western Region and Chairman of the UAE Red Crescent Authority received at Al Nakheel Palace a delegation from the authority, headed by its Board Chairman Ahmed Humaid Al Mazrouei.

Al Mazrouei presented to Sheikh Hamdan the awards won by the RCA at the New York International TV '&' Films Festival 2012 last week for the documentary film entitled 'A tear for the rain", depicting the humanitarian situation in Somalia.

Sheikh Hamdan praised the support given by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Gen. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces to the humanitarian initiatives and activities undertaken by the RCA.
