WAM Dubai, Apr 27th, 2012 (WAM) -- Undersecretary of the Ministry of Environment and Water Dr. Mariam Alshenasi and Head of the Life Sciences at the UAE University Dr. Khalid Al Amiri discussed aspects of cooperation between the Ministry and the university in the field of studies, research and technical disciplines relevant to the field work of the ministry .

At a meeting held on Thursday at the Ministry's quarters in Dubai, they also discussed ways of strengthening bilateral relations in the field to take advantage of expertise and preparation of joint research.

Alshenasi noted that the ministry is working on integration among various government bodies and scientific and academic institutions to attract competent national graduates in the scientific disciplines to work in various projects.

She added that the ministry is also working to hold periodic meetings with academic institutions to discuss and propose materials and disciplines that will serve the environmental work in the country.
