Ajman Ruler honours pioneer Emirati woman in Healthcare

WAM Ajman, Apr 26th, 2012 (WAM)--(WAM) H. H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council member and ruler of Ajman honored at his emiri court today Dr. Awatif Al Bahar, Gynaecology and infertility consultant and director of Dubai's Centre for Gynecology and fertility, on her selection by Gulf Medical College (GMC) as the pioneer Emirati woman in healthcare in the UAE and the Middle East.
Present were Sheikh Dr. Majid bin Saeed al Nuaimi, Chief of Emiri Court and Thumbay Moideen founder and president of the Gulf Medical College (GMC), and a number of officials.
Sheikh Humaid stressed that the UAE provided all the tools and requirements needed to benefit from the local experiences by dispatching them abroad for academic training to acquire more knowledge.
He also pointed out that the development and cultural renaissance in the UAE depend on qualified and well educated citizens.
For her part, the honoured Dr Al Bahr expressed her pleasure of meeting the Ruler of Ajman, citing that the interest of the leadership in education encourages the academics to attain the highest postgraduate degrees from prestigious universities in the world.
