WAM DUBAI: Secretary General of the UAE Human Rights Association Mohammed Hussein Al Hammadi and the visiting United Nations Special Rapporteur on Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children, Joy Ngozi Ezeilo held a meeting to discuss the UAE's efforts to combat trafficking in persons as well as the role of ministries and governmental departments.

The meeting also discussed the pacts signed by the Society and law firms to help underprivileged persons and provide legal advise.

The UN official commended the role the Society plays and described its achievements as a source of pride for the UAE and a boost to its human rights protection efforts.
