WAM Dubai, Apr 18th, 2012 (WAM)--National Media Council (NMC) discussed with the delegation of the General Department of Penal and Correctional Institutions at the General Headquarters of Dubai Police here on Monday, ways to facilitate delivery of books and publications to the penal and correctional institutions' inmates.

Jumaa Alleem, Director of the Department of Media Content Follow Up at NMC said that after the meeting at the NMC office in Dubai, the two sides discussed procedures to facilitate the delivery of books to the inmates of penal and correctional institutions.

He added that the two parties have agreed to set up joint work agreement, whereby the inmates will enjoy right of access to knowledge and culture sources.

Alleem presented copies of various and child books to the library of the Penal and Correctional Institutions.

For his part, First Lt. Mohammed Abdullah Al Obaidli, Head of the Educational Programme at the General Department of Penal and Correctional Institutions thanked Alleem, wishing continuous cooperation between the two institutions.
