WAM Abu Dhabi, April 18th, 2012 (WAM) -- A delegation from the Public Health Division at the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City (ADM), has reviewed the latest technologies and processes in use at automatic slaughtering facilities of the world's famous manufactures during a recent visit to the Federal Republic of Austria, and Croatia.

"This visit is made in the context of the Municipality's commitment to keep track of the latest techniques capable of further enhancing the health '&' service standards adopted by Abu Dhabi Abattoirs. It also demonstrates the ongoing municipal efforts to upgrade the quality of service offering to bring it in line with the aspirations of the public and at the same time realize the Mission and Vision of the Municipality of providing communal services at the highest standards, particularly in the health field," said Owaida Al Qubaisi, Acting Executive Director of Municipal Services Sector at the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City.

"Keeping abreast of the latest technologies in use for delivering customers service echoes the strategy of the Municipality aimed at uplifting the level of service in offer, and in this context, the visit aimed at familiarizing with the latest technological advancements used in the manufacturing of modern automatic slaughterhouses. It will also boost the initiative of the Public Health Division as regards the construction of a modern automatic abattoir at Al Shahama in order to improve the level of services rendered to the public, and bring the slaughtering houses to the suburban areas of the capital," continued Al Qubaisi.

Khalifa Al Rumaithi, Director of Public Health Division at the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City, headed the Municipality's delegation visiting Austria and Croatia. In Austria the delegation discussed and examined the possibility of designing a Camels Slaughtering Box.

The Municipality of Abu Dhabi City will provide its expertise and visualization of camels slaughtering process along with all facilities needed for carrying out trials of camel slaughtering within its existing facilities.

In its visit to the Republic of Croatia, the delegation toured state-of-the-art cattle '&' goats slaughtering facilities in Osijek city.
