UAE condemns Kabul blasts

Apr 18, 2012 - 12:35 -

WAM ABU DHABI: The UAE strongly condemned the series of terrorist explosions which rocked the central diplomatic area of Kabul and three other Afghan cities claiming 47 lives and injured tens of people.

"The UAE reiterates its solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan against extremism, violence and terrorism and urges the need for preserving regional security and stability," Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry Jum'a Mubarak Junaibi stated.

"The UAE vehemently condemns these criminal acts which targeted the Afghan parliament and the diplomatic neighborhood and other Afghan regions, the senior official said, adding that these blasts seek to sow the seeds of divisions and sedition among Afghans and damage Afghanistan's stability and security." He extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims of the evil act and best wishes of speedy recovery for the wounded.
